SCOPE

Soft computing solutions allowing smart participation (surveys, voting), efficient data collection (sensors, opinions, imprecise data), data analyses (perceptual computing) and mining knowledge in an explainable and understandable way for all urban stakeholders. In addition, emerging soft computing approaches also allow for interactive machine learning in a collaborative manner with citizens able to interact with their data (privacy by design, design ethics). This results in services that are based on citizens' needs and thus sustainably improve the quality of coexistence.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborative Machine Learning for Citizen Interaction
  • Explainable AI for Citizens Good
  • Fuzzy Logic in Data Collection and Analyses
  • Linguistically Summarizing and Interpreting Data
  • Fuzzy Recommender Systems
  • Stigmergy in Smart Cities
  • Smart Participation of Citizens
  • Conversational Agents for Citizens
  • Soft computing Supporting Sustainable Development in Cities
